The halting of the demolition of illegal warehouses in the suburbs of Mohammedia has sparked a wave of controversy and questions, after local data indicated that some of these buildings belong to influential parties in the region.

Local voices are demanding clarification on the reasons for stopping the operation, to avoid the growing feeling of selectivity in the implementation of demolition decisions, especially in light of the sensitivity of this type of file within the communities adjacent to Mohammedia.
