The players of the Algerian national football team left Moroccan territory immediately after the end of their match against the Nigerian team, which took place on Saturday evening and ended with the "Greens" losing by two goals to nil, for the quarter-finals of the 2025 African Cup of Nations.
This rapid departure came after being eliminated from the continental competition, where a number of players chose to go directly to their private destinations in order to join their clubs, without waiting for the mission to return collectively.
According to the available data, most of the Algerian national team elements left Morocco via Marrakech airport immediately after the end of the match, while the mission's plane took off late that same night from the same airport in the direction of the capital, Rabat, carrying the rest of the delegation members.
Later, a private plane took off today from Rabat airport towards Algeria, including various components of the Algerian mission, from technical, medical and administrative crews, along with the rest of the players, signaling the end of the national team's participation in the finals of the 2025 African Cup of Nations after exiting the quarter-finals.
