Eric Chelle, the coach of the Nigerian national team, praised the work being done by Walid Regragui and the organization and infrastructure provided by Morocco during the Africa Cup of Nations, confirming the Kingdom's readiness to host major events, especially the 2030 World Cup.
Chelle explained, after the elimination against Morocco in the semi-finals, that his embrace of Regragui was spontaneous and reflected mutual respect, congratulating the "Atlas Lions" on their deserved qualification.
Regarding the match, the Nigerian coach acknowledged that his team started with high pressure before gradually losing their rhythm, which allowed Morocco to take control, pointing to the impact of physical decline and loss of focus.
Despite the disappointment of the elimination, Chelle expressed his pride in his players, confirming that penalty shootouts are not without surprises, and adding that his future with the national team will be decided after a comprehensive evaluation, while reminding of the match against Egypt in the ranking match.
