Morocco continues to strengthen its position within the European market, after recording a record in sweet pepper exports to Germany, exceeding the threshold of 50,000 tons for the first time during one season, according to data from the "EastFruit" platform.
The data showed that Germany imported about 52.4 thousand tons of Moroccan pepper during the 2024/2025 season, with a value of nearly 120 million euros, an increase of 20 percent compared to the previous season, despite the climatic constraints that temporarily affected harvesting operations. With this performance, Germany has become the third largest market for Moroccan sweet pepper after Spain and France, accounting for about 14.7 percent of total exports, at a time when shipments continue to grow for the sixth consecutive year, reflecting Morocco's success in expanding its markets and enhancing its competitiveness within the European Union.
