The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and technical supplier (PUMA) unveiled a special commemorative edition of the official match ball for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, "Itri" ITRI, specifically for the anticipated final match on Sunday, January 18th.
The Moroccan national team, hosting the tournament, will face the Senegal team in the decisive match, on the pitch of the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, starting at 20:00 local time (19:00 GMT), where one of the two teams will be crowned the new African champion. The CAF, on its official website, indicated that the two teams will play with the special edition of the official match ball, which features golden touches in honor of the two finalists. The Confederation of African Football explained that the ball, which was used during the Africa Cup of Nations (Morocco 2025) competitions, features a striking design that integrates the traditional geometric decorations of Moroccan zellige, which is characterized by a central star, floral petal shapes and circular symmetry. It added that the ball adopted the advanced Orbita 6 technology from (PUMA), to seamlessly combine heritage and innovation, and provide the required performance standards for competitions at the highest levels, while celebrating African culture at the same time.
