HIBAPRESS – Fikri Ouldali
In light of the continued absence of a radical solution to the problem of waste management on Sidi Mansour road, the sight of accumulated garbage worries the residents and road users, and raises more than one question mark about the effectiveness of current interventions and the effectiveness of the policies followed in the field of cleanliness and environmental protection.
The sides of the road have turned into black spots for the accumulation of household waste and various debris, in a scene that not only offends the aesthetics of the place, but also poses a real environmental and health hazard, especially with the rise in temperatures, the spread of bad odors, and the proliferation of insects, which threatens the health safety of the neighboring residents and road users.

In their statements, a number of citizens expressed their displeasure with this recurring situation, considering that the patchwork solutions are no longer useful, and that what is happening reflects the absence of a clear and sustainable vision for managing the waste sector in the region. They also demanded intensified monitoring operations, the placement of sufficient containers, and the adoption of a regular program for collecting garbage, in addition to activating deterrence mechanisms against violators.
Local affairs followers agree that addressing this problem requires effective coordination between the territorial community and the concerned authorities, with the involvement of civil society actors in awareness campaigns, in order to consolidate the culture of preserving cleanliness and the environment.

In the face of this situation, the residents appeal to the competent authorities to intervene urgently to clean the place and remove the accumulated waste, as a first step towards a deeper and more comprehensive solution to this file, in a way that guarantees the citizens' right to a healthy environment, and restores Sidi Mansour road to its decent image as a public space that serves the public interest.
