The star and captain of the Senegalese national team, Sadio Mané, revealed details of the call he received from his teammate at the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, after his country's team won the African Cup of Nations 2025.
The Senegalese national team had won the title of the 35th edition of the continental tournament after defeating the Moroccan national team by one goal to nil, in the final match hosted by Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in the capital Rabat, last Sunday evening. On an individual level, Sadio Mané, 33 years old, won the award for the best player in the tournament, in appreciation of his outstanding performance throughout the competitions, and he also announced that this participation will be his last in his continental career with the "Lions of Teranga". According to the "Yahoo Sports" website, Mané explained that Cristiano Ronaldo initiated contact with him to congratulate him on the continental title, confirming that he watched the entire final match.
