The Algerian authorities have rejected all visa applications submitted by the supporters of the Royal Army team, who wished to travel to Algeria to support their team during the upcoming match against JS Kabylie, as part of the third match of the group stage of the African Champions League.
This decision deprived the Moroccan team of the support of its fans in one of the strongest stages of the continental competition and sparked a wave of resentment among the club's supporters and those following African football affairs. This match falls within the framework of a continental competition that is supposed to be characterized by sportsmanship and openness between the fans, especially since the African Champions League represents a face for unity and rapprochement between peoples, but the refusal to grant visas to the Royal Army's supporters raised many questions about the impact of non-sporting considerations on the course of the competitions, at a time when the Moroccan public is accustomed to accompanying their clubs inside and outside the homeland in a civilized atmosphere. The Royal Army team is expected to play this strong match in Algeria with great determination, despite the absence of its supporters in the stands, setting its sights on achieving a positive result that enhances its chances of qualifying from the group. The representative of Moroccan football will try to focus on the purely sporting aspect and present a performance that reflects the value of the team and its continental history, stressing that the strength of the Royal Army is not limited to its fans, but extends to the personality of a team that is accustomed to rising to the challenge in the most difficult circumstances.
