Within the framework of emergency measures to address the severe cold wave experienced in the city of Al Hoceima, and by instructions from the governor of Al Hoceima province, and under the supervision of the city's Pasha, a field humanitarian campaign to search for the homeless was organized on the evening of Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
This campaign was led by a team headed by Mr. Motie Kallog, Head of the Al Hoceima Port Annex, representing the local authorities, with the participation of elements of the National Security and the Auxiliary Forces, and in cooperation with the Regional Directorate of National Cooperation and the Association of Ahad for Social Work. The operation resulted in the finding of a number of people in a state of homelessness. They were transferred to the social assistance center of the Ahad Association, where they were provided with the necessary care in humane conditions that preserve their dignity, within the framework of efforts to protect vulnerable groups from the repercussions of the sharp drop in temperatures.
