HIBAPRESS – A. Muhyawi
Within the framework of the ongoing efforts aimed at protecting the lives of citizens and preventing the risks associated with the collapse of buildings threatened with collapse, a mixed committee began, on Thursday morning, a field campaign to inspect and count dilapidated buildings in a number of douars and areas belonging to the Sidi Taibi commune in the Kenitra region.
This field tour included the douars of Al-Hancha, Awlad Moussa, Awlad Nasr, and Awlad Taleb, where the inspections took place under the supervision of the head of the First Administrative Annex, and with the participation of technical cadres from the Al-Omrane company, with accompaniment and security from elements of the Auxiliary Forces, in full respect of the organizational and legal procedures in force. This operation falls within the framework of implementing the strict instructions of the Governor of the Kenitra region, Mr. Abdelhamid Al-Muzid, which aim to accelerate the pace of diagnosing the condition of buildings threatened with collapse, and taking the legal and technical measures to ensure the safety of the residents, especially in light of the climatic fluctuations that winter is experiencing. This field move is a real translation of the proactive approach adopted by the governor of the region, known for his high efficiency and extensive experience in managing territorial affairs, where he had previously left his mark on a distinguished administrative and developmental path in the Ifrane region, by consolidating the principles of good governance, and interacting quickly with the issues of citizens, and giving priority to safety and the social dimension in various interventions. Informed sources confirmed that this campaign is not limited to the Sidi Taibi commune only, but extends to include the city of Kenitra and a number of black spots that are witnessing the spread of old or random buildings that pose a real danger to residents and passers-by. It is expected that these inspections will be crowned with the preparation of detailed technical reports to be submitted to the competent authorities, in order to program the necessary interventions, whether through demolition, restoration, or rehousing, according to the degree of danger represented by each building, and within the framework of a comprehensive approach that takes into account the social and humanitarian aspects, and enshrines the right to safe housing.
