A new commendable decision by the Ministry of Health requires major pharmaceutical companies to reduce the sale price of several medicines for Moroccans.
In this regard, the Ministry of Health issued a new decision regarding pharmaceutical companies, urging them to respond to this decision by reducing the sale price of several medicines, especially those whose prices were a burden for patients.
The decision, signed by Khalid Ait Taleb, Minister of Health and Social Protection, under number 1447.24, made it possible to revise the public selling prices of original, generic and biosimilar drugs marketed in Morocco, coming into force a few days ago.
The measure involves reducing the prices of drugs used in the treatment of certain cancers, nerve pain, epilepsy, arthritis, schizophrenia, as well as other drugs.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection continues its consultations with professionals in the pharmaceutical industry in Morocco to reduce the prices of other medicines, particularly those intended for people with chronic diseases, as part of its strategy to make medicines accessible to all.
