HIBAPRESS – A. Mahyaoui
In an urgent humanitarian intervention, the Krouchen road in Midelt province was opened at twelve o'clock at night on Monday, January 26, 2026, to enable ambulance teams to reach a woman suffering from a critical health condition and transport her urgently to receive the necessary treatment.
This intervention comes in light of the difficult climatic conditions that the region is experiencing, due to snowfall and a sharp drop in temperatures, which has caused difficulty in accessing a number of villages and mountainous roads. According to the available data, the operation mobilized various interveners, as the necessary mechanisms were harnessed to remove snow and open the road in record time, which enabled the ambulance to pass and transport the patient to the appropriate health institution in safe conditions. This humanitarian intervention brought widespread relief among the local population, who praised the response of the regional authorities and various concerned departments, stressing the importance of continuing such proactive operations, especially during periods of harsh weather fluctuations, to ensure the citizens' right to treatment and movement. This intervention highlights the need to enhance the readiness of logistical infrastructure and rapid intervention teams in mountainous areas, to avoid isolating the population and ensure an immediate response to urgent humanitarian cases.
