HIBAPRESS – Yassir El-Yahyaoui
The General Consulates of the Kingdom in Spain are witnessing a special mobilization on the level of administrative services coinciding with the approval of the collective settlement law, which will benefit more than 600,000 immigrants across Spanish territory.
The mobilization model at this stage takes us to the General Consulate of Morocco in Madrid, as all administrative offices have been mobilized to provide services to Moroccan immigrants who wish to obtain passports and other documents related to the collective settlement process for the year 2026, which included facilitating and easy conditions in order to enable irregular immigrants to regularize their situations and obtain residence cards, away from the complications that often require the candidate to have resided in Spain for no less than two years at best. The General Consulate in Madrid has taken this initiative to ensure that the settlement campaign goes smoothly, especially since it knows the huge number of irregular Moroccans residing within its consular jurisdiction. Employees work like a beehive from the first hours of the workday until the end, hoping to be able to meet all administrative requests in conjunction with the process. The Consul General, "Kamal Arifi," also oversees every detail, touring the offices and departments to listen and get close to some exceptional cases. This attention has received great appreciation from the Moroccan community residing in Madrid, which has begun to travel to this vital institution since the announcement of the exceptional settlement decision for this year.
