Parliamentarian Fatima Tamani addressed a written question to the Minister of Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit, regarding the worrying situation in Ksar El Kebir due to rainfall, and the possibility of declaring the city a disaster zone along with the other affected areas.
Tamani highlighted the seriousness of the situation for residents and agricultural lands, stressing the need to adopt a comprehensive approach to ensure effective and fair intervention for all threatened areas, and to take urgent exceptional measures to secure the affected and provide basic needs. The MP demanded clarification of the measures taken to rescue families, secure shelter and social assistance, compensate for agricultural damage and support farmers, in addition to details of the Ministry of Interior's coordination with other sectors to enhance preventive structures and improve flood risk management in the future.
