HIBAPRESS – MAP
On Wednesday in Kuwait City, Morocco was elected, for the second consecutive year, as a member of the Executive Committee of the Digital Cooperation Organization for the year 2026. This took place on the sidelines of the fifth General Assembly of the organization in Kuwait.
Morocco received the highest percentage of votes, surpassing all other candidate countries, which reflects the confidence that Morocco enjoys, and the great experience it has gained at the regional and international levels in digital transformation.
It is worth mentioning that the Digital Cooperation Organization, which was established in 2020 during a G20 meeting, consists of representatives from the ministries of communications and information technology in its 16 member states, and focuses on empowering youth, women, and entrepreneurs, and benefiting from the accelerating power of the digital economy and innovation, in order to drive economic growth and raise the level of social prosperity.
The organization also seeks to contribute to the establishment of infrastructure and the development of optimal policies in the digital field, in order to create inclusive and fair digital economies that enable all individuals, companies, and societies to innovate and prosper.
