Within the framework of the ongoing efforts made by the national security services to combat crime in its various forms, the police elements in the Ait Melloul security zone managed, on Monday, to arrest two people suspected of being involved in various criminal cases.
The first suspect was arrested by the judicial police squad, based on investigations and intensive investigations carried out by the security services after registering complaints related to theft by snatching and using a motorcycle. The search procedures carried out in the context of this case resulted in the seizure of a mobile phone obtained from these criminal acts, in addition to the clothes the suspect was wearing while committing one of the thefts, and the motorcycle used in carrying out these acts. In a second security operation, the cyclists' squad arrested a person in the act of promoting hallucinogenic pills, as he was caught in possession of a quantity of "Rivotril" pills, before the search operation carried out inside his home in the "Sidi Maimoun" neighborhood enabled the seizure of an additional 105 pills of the same type. The two suspects were subjected to custody measures, pending the investigation being conducted under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution, in order to determine all the criminal acts attributed to them. These security operations fall within the framework of the ongoing daily efforts made by the national security services in order to enhance the sense of security among citizens, and to combat various manifestations of crime, in a way that guarantees the protection of the safety of people and the preservation of their property.
