Yesterday, Monday, Sheikh Al-Faqih Al-Zahid Allal Al-Asri Al-Boufi passed away, one of the prominent figures of the city of Youssoufia and its distinguished sheikhs, who dedicated his life to serving the Book of God and leading generations on the path of knowledge and asceticism.
The deceased was described as a school in humility and asceticism, and he contributed significantly to the formation of generations of memorizers and students in Youssoufia, Sidi Bennour and Zemamra, who carried the torch of knowledge and preaching in various mosques and institutions. Sheikh Al-Asri is considered one of the most prominent figures of ancient education in the city, where he left a great educational and cognitive legacy, and everyone testified to his good character, extensive knowledge, and sincerity in performing his educational mission. The funeral ceremony was held with the wide participation of students, scholars, and citizens who were keen to bid farewell to their sheikh and honor his fragrant journey in serving the Holy Quran and education.
