Police officers in the Meknes security directorate, in coordination with the services of the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, managed on Tuesday, February 10, to arrest a person with a criminal record, on suspicion of involvement in a case related to the possession and trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances.
The suspect was arrested immediately after arriving on a train from a city in the north of the Kingdom. The search resulted in the discovery of 1762 drug pills in his possession, including 1200 Rivotril-type narcotic pills and 562 ecstasy-type hallucinogenic pills, in addition to a sum of money from the proceeds of this criminal activity. The suspect has been subjected to a judicial investigation, which is being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, in order to identify the remaining possible extensions of this criminal activity, and to reveal all the criminal acts attributed to the person concerned.
