In the heart of Taounate Province, the Tabouda commune is in a disastrous situation that threatens the lives of its employees and the lives of its citizens alike. A scene that no one could have imagined, the communal headquarters, which was supposed to be a symbol of administration and justice, has today become a major source of concern after cracks and winter rains exposed the inability of officials to maintain the place. Water seeps daily from the ceiling, flooding offices and documents, and turning every corner into a scene of neglect and deterioration.
The employees inside the communal headquarters deny the bitter reality they are living, saying in unison that "working conditions have become unbearable," as the place is threatened with collapse at any moment. The walls of the administration building almost speak of despair, and the cracks have become terrifying in the hearts of the employees who fear for their safety at every moment. Is it conceivable that the dignity of an employee should be insulted in this way? To work in an environment that does not have the minimum requirements for safety?
The big surprise is that the damage was not limited to the building, but extended to the communal archive, where vital documents were damaged, and large parts of the electronic devices were damaged. Isn't this a waste of resources and efforts? Isn't this a disregard for the interests of citizens who come daily to complete their transactions?
In a shocking statement, the head of the Tabouda commune, Abdelali Derirz, revealed his desperate attempts to rebuild a new headquarters, but the "lobbies" that he did not mention by name, stood as an obstacle in the way of this ambitious project. What did they want from him? Why do they hinder the development of the commune and the well-being of its employees? And will we allow these people to destroy the hopes of the residents for a better life?
The concern reached its peak with the transfer of some communal interests to "Dar Al-Diafa", the temporary headquarters, to discover that the situation there is no less bad. Water seeps from the walls, documents are wet, and electronic devices are at risk. How can an employee perform his work in the midst of this chaos? How can he respect his dignity while working in conditions that threaten his safety and life?
In a scene that provokes anger, the head of the council waved to submit a collective resignation if the neglect of this crisis continues by the concerned parties. Will we continue to wait for the officials to take a serious step to solve this problem? Will we leave the Tabouda commune to continue its suffering without finding a quick and urgent solution for it?
The people of the Tabouda commune have been and continue to make sacrifices to serve the nation, do they deserve this neglect? Do they deserve that their region be left in this miserable situation that does not suit its history or its future?
The hope for a quick intervention from the competent authorities, and for the reconstruction of a communal headquarters that guarantees the dignity of the employee and the quality of services for citizens, is what everyone is waiting for.
