HIBAPRESS – W.A.M
Today, Sunday, in the M'diq-Fnideq prefecture, the operation to return citizens who were temporarily evacuated due to the exceptional climatic conditions witnessed by the Larache province, especially the city of Ksar El Kebir, has begun.
This operation falls within the context of the Ministry of Interior's announcement of the commencement, in close coordination with various authorities, sectors, and relevant interests, of implementing measures aimed at ensuring a safe and gradual return of the population that was previously evacuated from a number of territorial communities in a number of provinces.
This operation also falls within the ongoing efforts made by the public authorities to deal with the repercussions of the strong weather fluctuations experienced in the Larache province, which necessitated the taking of urgent precautionary measures represented in the evacuation of a number of families to protect their lives and property, and to provide them with appropriate and temporary accommodation in decent humanitarian conditions.
In this context, the local authorities in the M'diq-Fnideq prefecture, in close coordination with various security services and civil protection elements, and with the participation of community and social activities, have begun to implement the field arrangements for the return of families to their homes in a gradual, organized and smooth manner.
In this context, the authorities of the M'diq-Fnideq prefecture have been keen to take all precautionary measures to ensure the transportation, in a precise and controlled program, of about 1,000 affected people, who were previously received and accommodated in four shelter centers distributed in the cities of Fnideq, M'diq and Martil.
On the first day of the return operation, the prefecture services mobilized 15 buses to transport the concerned families, free of charge, in appropriate conditions that take into account safety and comfort standards, with the provision of the necessary support throughout the stages of movement, ensuring the smooth flow of the operation and avoiding any overcrowding or confusion.
The first phase of the return operation was carried out according to a comprehensive humanitarian approach, in which the institutional supervisors of the operation were keen to preserve the dignity of the beneficiaries and ensure their safety, security and comfort, with the mobilization of various human and logistical resources to make this sensitive phase, which follows the period of shelter, a success.
In statements to the Moroccan News Agency, a number of beneficiaries of this operation expressed their great satisfaction with the conditions of their reception and the assurance of their organized and smooth return to their homes after the end of this difficult period, noting the efforts made by the local authorities and various interveners, whether during the stage of evacuation, reception and accommodation or during the organization of the return.
They also expressed their gratitude and thanks to King Mohammed VI for his continuous care, and his high instructions to the public authorities to implement precautionary and proactive measures to manage this situation in a way that preserves lives and ensures property.
The services of the M'diq-Fnideq prefecture continue to secure the return operation of all affected citizens who were evacuated to the shelter centers established in the prefecture territory by placing free buses in the cities of M'diq, Fnideq and Martil to ensure the return of those affected by the floods in the Larache province.
