Organizational tension erupted within the branch of the Progress and Socialism Party in the Drarga commune, administratively affiliated with the Agadir Ida Outanane prefecture, following tensions that accompanied a party activity presented as the opening of a new headquarters, before turning into a point of contention between activists and the regional secretary.
The incident brought to the forefront accumulated complaints about the management style within the local organization, and the accompanying tension and division within the ranks of the base. According to the data circulating within the local branch, the tension was not a product of the moment, but rather the result of accumulations related to what is described as an individualistic management of organizational affairs, including the exclusion of activists from invitations to meetings and activities, and the limitation of their participation in the internal life of the party, which aroused widespread dissatisfaction within the base. Also, imbalances were recorded in organizational communication, which reflected on the paths of dialogue and attempts to contain disagreements within the local frameworks. The same sources indicate that internal initiatives to bridge the gap did not reach tangible results, in light of the continued manifestations of individual decision-making and the bypassing of local structures in managing organizational stations, including the opening of a party headquarters without institutional coordination. This situation, according to local parties, has damaged the party's image within the territorial area, and deepened the loss of confidence in the internal management mechanisms, which necessitates urgent organizational intervention to restore things to their place, repair confidence, preserve the dignity of the activists, and consecrate party work on the basis of the rules and controls framing the collective organization.
