Kuwaiti content creator Rawan Bin Hussein broke her silence in a long and moving post on her official Instagram account, revealing the dark details of her life away from the spotlight of fame and beauty platforms.
Bin Hussein admitted to going through a severe psychological crisis following the death of her mother, which culminated in an attempt to end her life, confirming that her stable and elegant image in front of the public was just a mask hiding deep psychological pain and a complete loss of balance. This bold confession came to put her followers in front of the reality of the internal struggles that celebrities may face behind the screens, no matter how much their apparent well-being. In the context of her narration of this dark phase, Rawan did not hesitate to practice candid self-criticism, as she admitted to resorting to wrong behaviors in a desperate attempt to numb the feelings of loss and escape from the bitter reality, which led to a rapid deterioration in her health and psychological state. She also touched on her recent experience of entering prison, describing it as a harsh and pivotal stage at the same time; as she considered those days behind bars an opportunity to reconsider her personal choices, her fast-paced lifestyle, and the necessary sifting of the network of relationships that surrounded her, which formed a radical turning point in her self-awareness. With the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan, Rawan Bin Hussein announced a new approach and a decision to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the routine of influencers, confirming that this year will be completely different from the previous ones. She decided to stop sharing the details of her daily life and the manifestations of celebrations at Iftar and Suhoor tables, to fully devote herself to worshiping and drawing closer to God and focusing on the journey of psychological recovery. With this position, Rawan puts an end to the "digital exhibition" pattern, preferring privacy and serenity in an attempt to repair her soul and find inner peace away from the noise of the "trend".
