The Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, Ahmed Elbouari, accompanied by the Ambassador of His Majesty to France, Samira Sitaïl, inaugurated on Sunday in Paris the Moroccan pavilion at the International Agricultural Exhibition (SIA), organized from February 21st to March 1st.
The national pavilion, organized under the theme "Morocco, Centuries of Flavors," includes 30 producer groups representing 46 cooperatives and more than 740 small farmers, of whom 61 percent are rural women, hailing from different regions of the Kingdom. This space, built on an area of 300 square meters, offers an immersive sensory experience of the richness and diversity of local products, including argan, saffron from Taliouine, Medjool dates, olive oil, carob, aromatic and medicinal plants, and spices. In a press statement, Mr. Elbouari affirmed that this exhibition, in which Morocco is participating for the thirteenth consecutive year, constitutes an international showcase for Moroccan agriculture and its local products. He added that the Moroccan participation embodies the efforts made by the women and men involved in valuing Moroccan products. He highlighted that the ministry supports cooperatives, especially through improving quality, marketing, and strengthening their presence internationally. For his part, the Director General of the Agricultural Development Agency, Mehdi Rifi, confirmed that all regions of the Kingdom are represented in this exhibition, highlighting the richness, diversity, and quality of the products on display. He added that the Moroccan pavilion is witnessing significant interest from visitors, who have expressed great interest in national products, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. He explained that this major international agricultural event constitutes a showcase for Moroccan cooperatives, and provides them with an opportunity to open up to the world, introduce their products, and establish partnerships with actors in France and Europe, with a view to exporting to the European market. The Moroccan participation in the International Agricultural Exhibition in Paris, organized under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, and in coordination with the Agricultural Development Agency, aims to develop the prospects for marketing Moroccan local products internationally. It also constitutes an important lever for creating wealth and improving income, especially for small farmers, in full harmony with the objectives of the "Green Generation 2020-2030" strategy, which aims to create a new agricultural middle class and to value Moroccan products internationally. The International Agricultural Exhibition in Paris is the largest agricultural event in France and among the most important global events dedicated to agriculture and food, as it constitutes a distinguished showcase for local products, livestock breeding, animal genetics, and agricultural innovations. The exhibition annually brings together consumers, decision-makers, professionals, and researchers. In 2025, it attracted more than 600,000 visitors, confirming its radiance and attractiveness internationally.
