HIBAPRESS – Sports
The national program for the development of young talents in football, which is supervised by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, has received great appreciation from FIFA, which is considering adopting this model and applying it in a number of African countries.
As part of its international program to develop talents, FIFA made two visits to Morocco to closely examine this national project. During these visits, FIFA visited a number of Moroccan clubs, including Wydad Athletic Club, Raja Club Athletic, Fath Union Sport, and Renaissance de Berkane, and expressed its great admiration for the level of work done within these clubs. Based on its conviction of the effectiveness of the Moroccan model, FIFA will organize a conference in Morocco in April 2026 to contribute to the development and qualification of Moroccan trainers. It is worth noting that FIFA, which contributes financially to talent development programs at the African continent level, will work in partnership with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation to support some of the clubs involved in the national program, to help them qualify and modernize their infrastructure. This contribution is not transferred directly to the clubs, but passes through the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, which is responsible for directing this support according to the needs of each club within the program.
