The General Directorate of Meteorology expects strong winds accompanied by sandstorms or dust storms to be recorded from Thursday to Friday in a number of regions of the Kingdom.
The Directorate explained, in an alert bulletin of "Orange" vigilance level, that strong winds accompanied by sandstorms or dust storms are expected at speeds ranging between 95 and 115 km/h in the provinces of Al Haouz and Taroudant, and between 75 and 95 km/h in the provinces of Chichaoua, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Sidi Ifni, Tiznit, Guelmim, Tata, Azilal, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Agadir Ida-Ou-Tanan, Ouarzazate, Tangier-Assilah, and Fahs-Anjra, starting from Thursday at 11:30 am until Friday at 9 am. Furthermore, the same weather phenomenon (75 to 95 km/h) is expected in the provinces of Tan-Tan, Assa-Zag, Boujdour, Laayoune, Tarfaya, and Smara, on Friday from 7 am to 11 pm.
