HIBAPRESS – Agencies
Agence France-Presse reported hearing the sound of large explosions in the Afghan capital, Kabul, on Friday, hours after the Taliban government announced the execution of a border attack on Pakistan.
The agency explained that the explosions were heard around 21:20 GMT, following the passage of at least one fighter plane over the city, followed by continuous gunfire. One resident pointed out to the French News Agency that up to eight explosions shook the city, considering that the recent explosions were so close to his home that it shook with it, accompanied by the sound of fighter planes after each explosion. The gunfire continued until about 2:30 am in central Kabul, according to what AFP journalists observed. Afghanistan had launched a military attack on Pakistan on Thursday, considering it a response to bloody airstrikes that targeted its territories days ago. In contrast, the Pakistani defense minister wrote on the X platform: "We have run out of patience and will now wage open war," adding that his country had tried to maintain the situation normally, directly and through friendly countries.
