LNFF Steering Committee Meeting: Objectives for 2024-2025

The Steering Committee of the National Women’s Football League (LNFF) met on Thursday, July 18, 2024, under the chairmanship of Ms. Khadija ILLA.

This meeting was dedicated to discussing the following points:

– Player registration period:

The first period was set from July 15, 2024 to September 8, 2024.

The second period was scheduled from January 1 to January 31, 2025.

– Possibility of registering four players of foreign nationality with the possibility of registering three of them in the referee sheet during the matches of the first and second Division of the 2024-2025 sports season.

Deadlines for the 2024-2025 sports season:

The LNFF Steering Committee has set:

– September 2, 2024 is the date of the draw for the national professional women’s football championship and the national U17 championship for the 2024-2025 season as well as the qualifiers for the 2023-2024 Throne Cup.

– On September 21, 2024, the start of the national professional championship D1 and D2.

– As of November 2, 2024, the start of the U17 national championship.

– On October 26, 2024, the 1st round of the Throne Cup qualifiers.

At this meeting, the LNFF Steering Committee discussed the general provisions regarding the organization of the national senior women’s football championship and the national U17 championship. These provisions concern:

– holding general meetings of D1 and D2 clubs before August 31, 2024,

– the request for the list of delegates to the regional leagues for the matches of the national professional championship.

– Validation of the distribution of clubs competing in the national professional D2 championship (north and south groups) and the U17 championship.

– validation of the compensation grid for match delegates.

– Reduce the maximum number of qualified players to 23 players instead of 25
