Morocco affirmed today, Sunday, its supportive stance for Arab countries in the face of what was described as Iranian attacks, stressing that the stability and security of Arab countries are closely linked to the security and stability of the Kingdom.
This affirmation came during the participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, in an emergency meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, which was held via video conferencing to discuss developments related to the attacks attributed to Iran against a number of Arab countries. Bourita, during the meeting, expressed Morocco's solidarity with the concerned Arab countries, stressing that the Kingdom stands alongside its brothers in the face of any threat to their sovereignty or territorial integrity. He also pointed out that this position is consistent with the direction expressed by Moroccan King Mohammed VI in telephone calls he made with leaders from the Gulf countries, which reflected Morocco's keenness to support the security of those countries and enhance Arab solidarity. The meeting, according to what was circulated, discussed the developments related to the Iranian attacks, in the context of discussing ways to coordinate Arab positions and enhance joint action to face the security challenges facing the region.
