HIBAPRESS – Agencies
A senior Israeli official revealed to international news agencies that an assessment issued by Israeli intelligence suggests that Mojtaba Khamenei, who is described as the new supreme leader of Iran, was slightly injured during the air war launched by Israel and the United States against Iran, which explains his absence from public appearances recently.
The official explained, in a statement to the same agencies, that the data available to Israeli intelligence agencies indicates that Khamenei's injury was not serious, but it may be the reason behind his staying out of the public eye since the outbreak of the recent military confrontation. No official comment has yet been issued by the Iranian authorities regarding this data, at a time when the state of regional tension continues following the recent military escalation between Iran on the one hand, and Israel and the United States on the other hand.
