Ali Larijani, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, threatened on Thursday to cut off electricity to all countries in the region "within half an hour" if US President Donald Trump destroyed the Iranian electricity grid.
Larijani wrote in a post on the "X" platform: "Donald Trump said: I can eliminate Iran's electricity within an hour, but I did not do that. However, if he did that, it would only take half an hour for a complete power outage to engulf the entire region," considering that "darkness becomes a suitable opportunity to track and hunt down fleeing American military personnel in the region."
Trump told reporters that "we can target and destroy the electricity grid in Iran within one hour," considering that rebuilding it would take 25 years.
