On this occasion, the Prime Minister is participating in the “Sport and Sustainable Development” summit, organized at the initiative of the Presidency of the French Republic and the International Olympic Committee, with the support of the French Development Agency.
The summit brings together heads of state and government, heads of international organisations, athletes and representatives of the sports movement, as well as development finance stakeholders.
The Moroccan sports delegation to the Olympic Games, which began arriving in the French capital last Thursday, includes a total of 60 athletes (including 18 women), in 19 Olympic disciplines.
At the opening ceremony on Friday evening, the Moroccan delegation will parade alongside other sports delegations on boats along the Seine in a procession unprecedented in the history of the Olympic Games.
