As part of bringing administrative services closer to members of the Moroccan community residing in Portugal, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Lisbon announced the organization of a mobile consulate in the city of Porto on April 4th and 5th, 2026, at the Casa Do Mondo headquarters.
This initiative aims to enable Moroccan citizens to conduct their various administrative purposes in suitable conditions, without the need to travel long distances to the central consular interests, in a step that reflects the Moroccan diplomacy's keenness to improve the quality of services and bring them closer to members of the community. According to the statement, the reception of beneficiaries will begin on Saturday, April 4th, from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm, with the distribution of waiting numbers stopping at 4:00 pm, while work will continue on Sunday, April 5th, from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, with the distribution of numbers stopping at 2:00 pm. The embassy called on all those wishing to benefit from these services to attend in person, accompanied by the original documents and copies thereof, with the need to download and fill out the form for each service from the official website of the Moroccan consulate, and it also confirmed that payment will be in cash and in full to avoid any problems related to returning the change. Regarding the services provided, the statement clarified the possibility of completing a range of administrative documents, including requests for criminal records and good conduct certificates, in addition to some specific judicial transactions, such as marriage attachments and declarations and agencies related to some legal procedures. In contrast, the embassy stressed that it is not possible to complete all types of judicial contracts during this process, nor is it possible to print or copy documents on the spot, calling on beneficiaries to prepare in advance and respect the organizational arrangements to ensure the smooth running of this mobile consulate. This initiative is part of a series of similar operations through which the Moroccan diplomatic representations seek to respond to the expectations of the community and strengthen bridges of communication with it, which consolidates the policy of proximity and improves the quality of consular services provided abroad.
