The General Directorate of National Security mourns the martyr of duty, police officer Rachid Razzouk, who died this morning, Friday, at the Ibn Rochd University Hospital in Casablanca, due to complications from injuries sustained in a security intervention to dismantle a criminal network involved in international drug and psychotropic substance trafficking.
The Director-General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance had granted an exceptional promotion to the deceased police officer during his hospitalization before his death, in recognition of his great sacrifice, high professional sense, and unwavering commitment to protecting the security of citizens and ensuring the safety of their property.
It is recalled that the victim police officer had participated in a security intervention to dismantle a criminal network on March 16, 2026, in the suburbs of the city of Oued Zem, where he sustained serious injuries due to intentional running over by five people who were arrested in the act of transporting significant shipments of drugs and psychotropic substances.
The victim police officer was kept in the hospital in a critical health condition at the time, to receive the necessary medical treatments and interventions, before his death this morning, Friday, March 27, 2026.
The Director-General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance has tasked the health and social services of National Security with providing all necessary assistance and support to the family of the deceased police officer.
