HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
Joint monitoring committees in the city of Berrechid managed to seize quantities of spoiled and unfit-for-consumption products that were intended for promotion within local markets. This occurred within the framework of inspection campaigns aimed at protecting the health of citizens and ensuring compliance with food safety conditions.
These operations resulted in the seizure of expired food products and others stored in unsanitary conditions, which poses a direct risk to consumers, especially with the rise in temperatures that increases the likelihood of spoilage of perishable materials. In this context, local actors have called for the intensification of monitoring campaigns on a regular basis, and not to settle for circumstantial operations. They emphasized that addressing such practices requires continuous vigilance and tight coordination between various stakeholders in order to ensure the safety of the products offered and protect the health of citizens. *Image from the archive.
