The Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget, Faouzi Leqjaa, confirmed that the government, under royal directives, continues to take practical measures to maintain the stability of the prices of basic services, especially electricity, in light of the fluctuations in international markets.
Leqjaa explained, during the press conference that followed the government council meeting, that the state had decided to maintain the monthly cost of electricity at its current levels, and not to pass on any increases to citizens, despite the increase in production costs globally. He pointed out that this measure is part of a policy to protect the purchasing power of Moroccan families, adding that the state bears a significant financial cost to ensure the stability of bills, where the monthly cost of this support reaches about 400 million dirhams.
