The judicial police elements of the Marrakech security directorate, in coordination with the services of the General Directorate for the Supervision of National Territory, succeeded on Monday, April 6, in seizing 17,586 drug tablets and arresting four people aged between 20 and 40, suspected of being involved in the possession and promotion of drugs and psychotropic substances.
The operation included several neighborhoods in the city and resulted in the arrest of the suspects in possession and promotion of hallucinogenic tablets, in addition to the seizure of two cars suspected of being used to facilitate criminal activity.
Also, the scoring of the detainees in the national security database revealed that one of them is wanted nationally because of similar drug-related cases, which opens the hypothesis of the extension of the criminal network.
The suspects have been referred to the judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecutor's Office, with the aim of identifying the remaining potential extensions of criminal activity and arresting other supposed participants.
