HIBAPRESS witnessed a state of tension this Tuesday morning in the Al-Rumaiya neighborhood of Ain Borja, in the city of Casablanca, following the implementation of an eviction operation affecting retirees from the Royal Armed Forces from housing belonging to the Military Housing and Equipment Agency.
According to what HIBAPRESS observed, elements of the auxiliary forces and national security, along with local authorities, arrived at the scene to implement the eviction order, amidst a heavy security presence to secure the operation. The concerned residents refused to leave their homes, leading to clashes with elements of the public forces, during which there was a state of tension and pushing. These developments come in the context of an ongoing dispute over the right to benefit from these homes, where the retirees demand finding alternative solutions that preserve their dignity and social conditions, while the concerned authorities insist on implementing the legal procedures in force.
