HIBAPRESS – Abdellatif Baraka
The Agadir security services reacted quickly and seriously on Tuesday, April 7th, with a video circulated on social media, documenting the incident of material damage to the windows of a car carrying foreign citizens.
Official data indicated that the investigations launched by the security services in light of this video showed that the case is not new, but dates back to January 27th of this year, where the police services in the Agadir security zone had already addressed this incident at the time. According to the same source, the immediate intervention of the police officers, immediately after the incident, enabled the arrest of the suspect in a short time, before opening a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecutor's Office. The investigations revealed that the person in question suffers from mental disorders, and he was referred to the specialized psychiatric hospital, in implementation of the judicial instructions in effect in such cases. These clarifications come within the context of the security services' interaction with the content circulated on the digital space, with the aim of enlightening public opinion and correcting the data related to some cases that may be republished out of their time context.
