The National Agency for Road Safety (Narsa) denied sending short messages containing an electronic link to its website for the payment of traffic fines, confirming that this link is "fake".
The agency stated in a statement that "following what is being circulated recently via voice messages stating that some citizens have received short text messages (SMS) containing an electronic link to the Narsa website for the payment of traffic fines monitored by fixed radar, the National Agency for Road Safety announces to all citizens that the agency does not provide any service of this type and has absolutely no connection with these short text messages." It warned that the site in question is fake and impersonates the status of an official service that is not included among the digital services provided by "Narsa" to users. In this regard, the National Agency for Road Safety called on all citizens and users to "exercise the utmost caution in dealing with this type of short text messages or suspicious electronic links by not clicking on them and verifying the addresses of official websites." The agency also urged all users not to enter or share any personal information or sensitive data related to bank information or passwords through these suspicious sites, and recommended immediately reporting any suspicious process or related to this matter to the relevant authorities.
