The As-Suwailim At-Tarifiya region, near Oulad Frej in the province of El Jadida, was shaken by a shocking case after a complaint about the kidnapping of an infant turned into a complex criminal mystery that ended with the revelation of a tragic truth.
In the details of the incident, a young mother had filed a report with the Royal Gendarmerie claiming that her infant had been kidnapped by two people, giving their descriptions and confirming that they were from the same area. However, the course of the investigation soon revealed clear contradictions in her statements, which prompted the investigators to deepen the search and change the hypothesis of the case. Through coordination between the Gendarmerie center in As-Suwailim At-Tarifiya and the judicial center in El Jadida, the identities of the two people whose names were mentioned in the complaint were identified, but they categorically denied all the charges against them, supported by strong evidence, which increased the investigators' suspicions about the mother's story. Faced with tightening the noose on her with precise questions, the person in question collapsed, admitting that she had fabricated the kidnapping incident to hide the fact that she had buried her newborn infant inside the courtyard of her family's home. The infant's body was recovered in the presence of a number of residents of the area, before being transferred to the morgue to be subjected to a medical examination, which is expected to reveal the real causes of death and determine whether there is a criminal suspicion.
