Iran has demanded compensation from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Jordan, claiming these countries participated in the American-Israeli war against Tehran.
This came in a letter sent by Iran's permanent representative to the United Nations, Saeed Iravani, to the Secretary-General of the international organization, Antonio Guterres, and to the presidency of the Security Council, and was published by Iranian official television on Tuesday. The letter indicated that Iran had previously submitted to the Security Council evidence based on monitoring and evaluation reports issued by the Iranian armed forces, which indicate that the mentioned countries allowed the use of their lands in the American-Israeli attacks. Iravani said in his letter: “Iran has been informed that the aggressors used the territories of these countries, and that they directly participated in some illegal attacks that targeted civilian targets.” The letter stressed that these five countries “violated their international obligations,” and the need to compensate for all material and moral damages suffered by Iran.
