The capital, Rabat, hosted on Monday, April 13th, a national training workshop on the preparation and formulation of European projects, organized by Erasmus Maroc in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation. This took place at the headquarters of the Presidency of Mohammed V University in Rabat, as part of a dynamic aimed at strengthening the involvement of educational institutions in international cooperation programs.
In a statement on the occasion, Ms. Latifa Daadaoui, the National Coordinator of the Erasmus program in Morocco, highlighted that this meeting falls within a strategic vision aimed at enabling educational institutions to play a more effective role within the program, given its pivotal position in qualifying educational frameworks and developing educational practices. She explained that this category of institutions remains a key player in the reform of the education system, which makes strengthening its presence within international cooperation projects an urgent priority. She added that the workshop was an opportunity to provide participants with the methodological and technical tools necessary to prepare high-quality European projects, capable of meeting the requirements of international programs and their competitive standards, stressing that the bet today is not only limited to participation, but goes beyond it to developing projects with a tangible impact, capable of contributing to the modernization of learning and teaching methods, and enhancing the quality of training within Moroccan institutions." She also stressed that this meeting is part of an approach that aims to strengthen cooperation networks between institutions at the national level, and to create a collective dynamic that allows for the exchange of experiences and the building of sustainable partnerships, highlighting that strengthening cooperation between educational actors is a fundamental entry point for developing joint projects capable of responding to the current challenges facing the education sector." In the same context, she confirmed that the National Office of the Erasmus+ program in Morocco is working to support universities and training institutions, not only in terms of access to funding opportunities, but also by supporting their capabilities in developing innovative projects, and strengthening their position as an active partner within international academic networks. On the sidelines of this meeting, the importance of the involvement of educational institutions in the dynamics of Erasmus program, especially in light of the intersection of its areas of work with the program's priorities related to the modernization of education, the development of competencies, and openness to international experiences was emphasized. The Erasmus program is one of the most prominent initiatives of the European Union in the fields of education, training, youth and sport, as it aims to support international mobility and promote cooperation between institutions. Since 2015, the program has provided thousands of mobility opportunities for Moroccan students and professors, in addition to funding a number of projects aimed at strengthening the capacities of higher education institutions, which contributes to supporting their openness to their international environment and developing their academic performance.
