Juan Florett, director of the football department at the Spanish Football League "La Liga," confirmed that the Moroccan national football team has established its place among the elite of international football, and is now one of the best teams in the world.
Mr. Florett said, in a statement to the Moroccan News Agency, that "Morocco has achieved high-level results in recent years, both on the continental and international levels, which has made it impose itself deservedly as one of the major teams in world football." In his analysis of the factors behind the success of the Atlas Lions, the Spanish official highlighted the quality of the current composition of the national team, explaining that "the strength of this team lies in its ideal balance, through the mix between the enthusiasm of promising young players and the experience of the more experienced elements, which is a harmony that is of great interest." He also expressed his wishes for the Moroccan national team to have complete success during the upcoming World Cup finals. Mr. Florett did not miss mentioning the increasing presence of Moroccan international players in the first and second division leagues in Spain, where they have become key elements within their clubs. He said in this context: "It is a very significant indicator, as Moroccan nationality is the most present within training centers in Spain after Spanish nationality, and these are statistical data of great significance." He added that "the young Moroccan player has an innate talent and tactical maturity that qualifies him to excel and impose himself within a precise and demanding system like Spanish football." On the other hand, the Spanish official described the Kingdom as "a high-level strategic partner for La Liga," reiterating the commitment of the Spanish football body to continue building and strengthening bridges of cooperation and exchange between the two football systems in the neighboring countries. He explained that this trend falls within a forward-looking vision embodied by the international training program "Next Gen Draft", which is organized by "La Liga" and "EA SPORTS" jointly, which in its second edition this year hosts eight young Moroccan talents, including four girls and four boys. He pointed out that "the main goal of this initiative is to provide tangible opportunities for young Moroccan talents, by enabling them to experience a complete and unique formative experience in Spain," adding that this residence allows them to directly view the latest training and training methods adopted within the major Spanish clubs. He stressed that "interaction with the high level will greatly contribute to the development of their individual abilities and the strengthening of their culture of competition." Regarding the 2030 World Cup, which Morocco, Spain and Portugal will jointly organize, Mr. Florett considered that this event carries great and multi-dimensional importance for both sides of the Strait of Gibraltar. He concluded that "the next four years will be decisive, as Morocco and Spain will work to explore and activate many areas of cooperation with the aim of maximizing the football potential of the two countries."
