HIBAPRESS – Tetouan
The Moroccan Association for Human Rights and Anti-Corruption in Tetouan has filed a complaint with the King's Prosecutor, demanding an in-depth judicial investigation into statements and digital content attributed to Mohamed Fayd, in the context of the controversy sparked by a post he published on social media.
The complaining association clarified that it had previously obtained a judicial order for an inspection and certification of facts by a judicial officer, and indicated its readiness to submit the report and related documents to the Public Prosecution.
It also requested an investigation that includes hearing from Mohamed Fayd and anyone who may be related to the matter, in addition to conducting technical expertise when needed to verify the authenticity of the digital content and its attribution, and to uncover the circumstances and details of the case.
The post had provoked mixed reactions due to its discussion of the concept of the Prophet Muhammad's illiteracy (peace be upon him), before Fayd proceeded to amend some phrases, explaining that what he wrote was in a questioning and conditional framework, and that he did not intend to describe the Prophet as ignorant.
