HIBAPRESS – Tiznit
Merchants of the Al-Quds Commercial Complex in the city of Tiznit, known locally as "Market Oubahi," organized a protest on Thursday morning in front of the headquarters of the Tiznit Provincial Prefecture, demanding a response to their situation following the fire that broke out in the complex in the past few days.
The fire caused substantial material losses affecting a number of shops and goods, while the complex remains closed by the local authorities. This has left the merchants facing an uncertain situation regarding the fate of their shops and the date for resuming their commercial activities.
The governor of Tiznit Province had visited the vicinity of the complex on the day the fire broke out and personally assessed the extent of the damage and losses caused by the flames. Following the protest, the governor received representatives of the protesting merchants and listened to their demands and the problems they are facing, pending the outcomes of the procedures and measures related to the complex.
