HIBAPRESS – Fikri Weld Ali
The condition of the stands at Mimoun Arsi Stadium in Al Hoceima, with the start of the championship competitions, has angered a number of fans, as the stands appeared covered in dust, a scene not in keeping with the atmosphere of welcoming supporters and the start of a new football season.
It was expected that the stadium facilities would be in their best condition, and that the stands would undergo cleaning and maintenance operations before opening their doors to the fans, ensuring the provision of a decent, clean, and safe space to watch matches.
This situation raises questions about the stadium's readiness to receive fans, especially since respecting fans is not only related to organizing matches and securing the stadium's surroundings, but also includes providing welcoming conditions befitting them and the value of sporting competitions.
Observers believe that good organization starts with basic details, foremost among them the cleanliness of the stands and the readiness of the facilities, stressing that the audience that comes to support their team deserves to find a suitable space that preserves their dignity and provides them with appropriate conditions to follow the matches.
The question remains for the authorities responsible for managing the stadium: how were the doors of the stands opened to the public in this condition, without the cleaning and equipping operations being completed as required?
