Civil protection elements, on Sunday evening, managed to rescue a family of seven individuals, after floodwaters submerged their home in the Rafrafa hamlet, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Lamrija commune in the Jerada province.
According to available information, the intervention of the civil protection elements resulted in the safe evacuation of all family members. Local authorities supervised their transfer and accommodation at the "Dar Taliba" (Student House) in the center of the Lamrija commune, to avoid any potential risks due to the ongoing repercussions of rainfall.
It is noteworthy that the Jerada province has experienced, since yesterday, Saturday, heavy thundering rainfall that caused the rise in the water levels of several wadis, raising fears of flood repercussions on a number of areas, especially in rural areas and areas adjacent to watercourses.
