HIBAPRESS – Tiznit
The city of Tiznit has been experiencing, for the third consecutive day, the spread of foul odors resulting from a fire that broke out at the municipal landfill. This occurred after an unknown individual, according to the municipal council, set fire to some papers, before the flames spread to parts of the landfill.
The smells emanating from the fire, along with the rising smoke, have angered a number of citizens who complained about air pollution and its impact on the atmosphere within the city. They are demanding increased efforts and necessary interventions to put an end to this situation that has been ongoing for several days.
The municipality had mobilized various mechanisms to extinguish the fire and limit the spread of smoke. However, the persistence of foul odors, according to citizen complaints, raises questions about the additional measures that can be taken to end this environmental crisis and restore normal atmospheric conditions.
