Tawfiq Ben Tayeb, the French Troyes player, has delivered a distinguished performance this season and was one of the most prominent contributors to his team's official promotion to the French Ligue 1, after winning against Saint-Étienne with a clean 3-0 victory away from home, last Saturday, scoring the third goal with a long-range shot taking advantage of the goalkeeper's advance.
Troyes consolidated its lead in the league with 64 points, distancing itself by seven points from Saint-Étienne in third place, just two rounds before the end of the Ligue 2 competition.
Ben Tayeb increased his tally to 18 goals with 3 assists, topping the top scorers' standings by a difference of 3 goals, noting that he is on loan from Ittihad Touarga.
