The newspaper learned from informed sources that the operation to arrest members of a gang active in international drug trafficking, at the level of the municipality of Mezilat in the province of Essaouira, took place after a security chase of more than 50 kilometers.
The same sources confirmed that the chase began from the Loui7at area in the municipality of Oulad Amrabet and ended in the municipality of Mezilat, Amramar district, where the driver and his companion surrendered, after they tried to escape, leaving the car in the Douar of Assouira Amramar in the territory of the municipality of Mezilat, but the gendarmerie elements managed to stop them in the middle of the river fields. The search operation inside the car also resulted in the discovery of more than 4 tons of hashish intended for international smuggling, and the arrest of the driver and his companion, and their being taken to the Royal Gendarmerie center in Teftasht, pending the opening of a judicial investigation into the matter and reaching the rest of those involved in this criminal operation.
